Retirement Savings Calculator

This free retirement savings calculator will help estimate a ballpark figure for how much income you should expect to have in retirement based on how much you currently have saved and how much you are saving for retirement each month moving forward.

Am I saving enough for retirement?

If you are on track to replace at least 70% of your pre-retirement income, then you are on track to fully fund your retirement. If your pre-retirement income were $100,000 you would need to be able to generate $70,000 in retirement income. Your retirement income can come from several sources including your retirement savings, workplace, and government pensions and income from rental properties.

While a 70% income replacement ratio is a common goal, if you want to customize your retirement plan to your needs, you’ll need to think about how much money you want to be able to spend in retirement. Perhaps you only want to replace 60% of your pre-retirement income because your mortgage will be paid off in retirement and the kids are grown up. Or maybe you want to replace 90% of your pre-retirement income so you can spend retirement traveling around the world. Either way, this calculator can help you know if you’re on the right track.

Your Retirement Money

  • How much do you expect to receive from government pensions?

  • The calculator will automatically tell you how much income to expect from your personal savings
